The glass door squealed as I threw it open. I flew into the house expecting to see Klondike in her big, blue bed, where she normally was,but she was missing. I quickly thought about where she might be and I remembered how she likes to sit outside under the pool deck in the shade. I quickly dropped all my homework and sprinted to the backyard. The grass was warm from the afternoon sun underneath my feet. I searched the whole backyard, every inch, and she was nowhere. I scurried back inside to go find my parents and sister, Katie, in the kitchen. “Wheres Scoobie?” Katie asked.
