Personal Narrative: My Junior High Years

Improved Essays
Over the course of my junior high years, there have been some big changes in my life. So much has changed within my family, friends, style, appearance, maturity, height, and who I am as a person. Academically my grades have stayed above a 90 throughout my entire junior high experience, so there wasn’t much of a change in that category. My junior high years have been fun and I have had so many great experiences and opportunities, and I am actually not ready to be a freshmen yet. I’d like to enjoy junior high for a little while longer. Over the past two years I have changed so much, but one of the biggest changes is within my friends. When I first started Junior High in seventh grade, I had very few classes with any of my friends. It was really hard to spend time with them throughout the day, so I found a new group of friends. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without them in my life, and it is so much better to have them around. Even though we argue sometimes, I have no clue what I would do without them. They are some of the best people I know. As a group, we have all changed and became our own independent selves. So thanks to my friends for making me into a better person from the time I started junior high until now. …show more content…
My cousins moved to Charlestown a few years ago, and it’s difficult to deal with when your family is as close as we are. The ten of us always have eachothers backs and we always support each other through anything and everything. Without them, I wouldn’t be the person I am today. They have taught me so much, and the most important is having faith and knowing that anything is possible with God. I knew these things before I started junior high, but I have really started to understand them, and I can thank my family for that! Having a family of ten can get out of hand at times, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. We are crazy and we can all just be fun-loving, loud, and strange

I found that asking my family all of these questions overall made me open my eyes to a lot. Although my family members fights and argue over things very often, we still love and appreciate us a lot more than we all think. Asking them the question brought us to all know what we truly thought about one another and that was really fun to sit and talk about, especially with my parents. I don’t think that this research had a life changing effect on my family and I. I just think that it, for a week long, made us realize how much we need each other. The part of my research I found most effective to myself was talking about the meaning of family to my mother.…

Over the years I always had someone to look up to and admire as I continued to learn and grow.
