As I walked up to the plate, I wiped the beads of sweat dripping from my head while I was looking at my 3rd base coach and he gave me the sign to wait to swing till after the first strike. I felt butterflies in my stomach as I stepped into the batters box. The first pitch was a strike and then the next three pitches were balls. The kid that batted in front of me had the same count count and he got a changeup down the middle and hit the ball to right field. So as I was standing in the box, thinking about all my earlier memories of playing baseball and how my dad would practice with me and how we would go to the batting cages every weekend. The pitcher started his windup and I got ready to swing and he threw a changeup right down the middle. I was so focused I didn't even hear the sound of my bat when it made contact with the ball. After I finished my swing ,I looked up to find the ball and I saw it go over the left field fence. …show more content…
When I was rounding the bases, I was happily crying because that was the first homerun of my career and it was a walk-off to go into the Finals. I kept pointing to my dad as he was crying to and clapping and I dove into home plate where all my teammates dog piled on me.

That was the one of the best moments of my life that I will remember for however long I live. I hope to experience that feeling again someday. I will always keep reliving that moment and how it felt every time before my baseball

It was springtime during the year of 2012, I was just about to start my summer. I was looking on the internet for sports to do in Kaneland, because I wanted to compete at a higher level. But I was not always comfortable with playing on a travel baseball team, but I knew this could be a great opportunity for me, so I took a risk and after all it, payed off. I asked “Dad would you think I would be able to compete and play on the travel baseball team” He smiled “Yes, but one thing I learned when I was young and playing baseball is; it is a game of mistakes, and the only way you can succeed is if you practice over and over to improve.”…

I said in a bratty voice. I stepped out of the imaginary batter's box took a few deep breaths, tightened my batting gloves, and then stepped back into the batter’s box, thinking about finally getting a good cut. Our daily wiffle ball game was about to start. There was a wiffle ball game every evening behind the apartment complex I lived in. The game was played in a luscious green grass field with a monstrous hill in left field. The usual squad was myself, Ricky, Justin, Michael, Jonathon, Latrell, and occasionally Greg but his parents usually make him stay inside and play monopoly or some other dumb board game. Our teams were always different from the last game.…

So when i got up to bat i got 2 strikes and the next pitch i hit allowing me to get to 2nd base and my teammates on bases 2 and 3 to get home and score the 2 points we needed to tie the game and go into overtime.…
