Personal Narrative: My Journey To Mid-East Or Stay At Zanesville

Decent Essays
A time I had to make a difficult choice is when I had to decide if I wanted to come to Mid-East or stay at Zanesville. The reason why it was such a difficult time for me was because I didn't want to leave my friends at my home school. Another reason why it was so hard for me was because I didn't feel like I was going to fit in with the people in my lab or my classes. During the first week of my junior year I was really nervous to get out of my comfort zone. I would get texts from my old friends from Zanesville of them talking about how much they missed me and wanted me to come back. During that first week of school at Mid East I thought long and hard about why I wanted to stay. The real reason why I came to Mid East was to get a fresh start

The Midwest is home to states with rich cultural backgrounds and popular tourist attractions. To take a break from the busy schedule I have as a student, and to avoid writing more essays like this, I went on a vacation to Michigan with my mother and two siblings. We visited South Haven, a pleasant port city on Lake Michigan’s east coast, and Detroit, the famous largest city in Michigan. These areas interest me because there’s plenty to do; there are amazing restaurants, breath-taking scenery, and family-friendly, inexpensive entertainment. South Haven is famed for its relaxed atmosphere and homely feel.…

The five hours drive in Pensacola was the longest five hours drive in all the traveling I’ve done. When my dad was driving to Pensacola I felt nervous doing to much thinking but my dad gave me encouragement saying just do me. My games in Pensacola were bad to me because I didn’t have any points, I think I’m the only one on my team who had zero points the whole weekend. I barely had any playing time even when I did a good job on both ends of the court. Most people say it’s not all about points but it is about points because how can you win with zero points it’s impossible.…

I was in a deep sleep dreaming about my life until BOOM, my mom came in and told me to wake up. We had to get to the airport as quickly as possible, because our flight leaves at five o’clock in the morning. Even though I was mad doing this I still enjoyed it because we were on our way to Florida!!This is great practice because one day I will have to do this again.…

Growing up in a military family never allowed me to settle down and call a single place home. Starting with what felt like a new life every four years, with new people in an unfamiliar place definitely helped to shape me into the person that I am today. The idea that I was given in fourth grade of moving from Germany back to the United States was difficult to believe, but the idea of moving there with only my mother was unfathomable. Yet after a short time, what seemed to be unimaginable was fairly simple. I was able to adjust quickly; I soon graduated middle school and was accepted into Wayne School of Engineering.…

I was nervous and scared because I’m not very good at socializing. The reason I’m writing this is because I learned so much about being open minded, accepting, and kind to other people and new experiences.…
