Not being able to afford a place to live much less a hotel. I decided to travel north to the mountains. As I was approaching the Nederland Mountains the cell phone died from searching for service. At this point having no directions I proceeded to the mountain going as far as the 4x4 will take me. Being alone gave me the false impression of being safe. Noticing the sun was setting I set camp up. Pitching a ten under a Pine tree that reminded me of home. Temperature was dropping rapidly, nothing like what I am used too; had to build a fire. Gathering small limbs and brush eased my mind on the reality of being lost in the mountains of Colorado. Putting large fallen trees on the fire to fall asleep with a small light able to be seen in the tent I rest peacefully, only wakening to what I thought was rain. Knowing my fire would be out I tired to save as much of the brush as I could but taking the first step outside I walked barefooted into snow. Realizing the depth of the decisions I’ve made. Lying awake all night until the morning sun, then I finally came out of the tent. My plan was to leave the mountain so could find a safe location. Noticing all the snow the blazer was stuck in the frozen snow. I started to look within my self for courage and strength. Finding faith helped my mental stability and
