Recently, I was invited to a College ID Camp in Sunnyvale, California. The email I received stated that many college coaches were attending the College ID Camp. After I registered for the College ID Camp, I started training for the upcoming event. During my two weeks of training, I would be working on a drill where I would want to give up; but, I would say in my head, “I can do it if I put my mind to it.” I conquered multiple drills where I would want to give up. The College ID Camp, had come at last. Before I entered the field, I repeated in my mind, “Put my mind to it, I can make it out of my city.” I can tell you that my training, and hard work paid off when I put my mind to it. A week later, I received an email from the UC Davis Soccer Head Coach saying that they will be keeping an “eye” on me; and so they did. I got a visit from the Assistant Head Coach. Basically explaining that I need certain grades, and to keep training hard to be able to join their men’s soccer team. After, the coach left, I told my father, “You were right! I can do anything if I put my mind to it!” To this day, I believe in the power of conquering anything if you put your mind to it. If you feel like giving up, or run into an obstacle, just remember that you can conquer anything if you put your mind to
