The possibilities of working in finance have been discussed with my family. Dealing with numbers and researching stocks have been in interest of mine for a while. I am very fortunate to have tuition assistance that makes it real easy on my wallet. In studying business, finance, and logistical courses, I will gain enough knowledge in several areas for example auditing, banking, investments, transportation, management, broking, and other areas that will enable me to contribute to an organization. I will be able to look for employment in the civilian sector as well as the government sector. One of the positions that intrigue me is that of financial manager, with the responsibility of forecasting expenditures and projected revenues, I could contribute to the firm in order for them to meet their financial goals. Residing in Texas, there will be plenty of employment positions for people who have a business, finance, and or logistical management degree. We will utilize a position as a financial manager for reference, the median pay in 2013 is 112,700; the spread is 61,320 to 187,199; I will use the low end of the spread for my ROI

By saying that everyone that gets a college degree will be guaranteed to have a successful life would be a non-sequitur fallacy. Either someone can graduate from college to be successful or not be successful because they could not graduate from a college (False Dichotomy). Not everyone that gets a degree will work in their field of degree; therefore, one will not be successful (Begging the Question). Ronald Reagan once said, "We fought a war on poverty and poverty won" (Edelman). With 15% of the population now considered poor, it is tempting to believe that he was right (Edelman). Global poverty did not occur randomly. Military conquest, slavery, colonization, the seizure of land, minerals, and forced labor are all reasons that poverty began. Unfair debt, trade, and tax policies were imposed on the nations of the global South by the rich nations of the North.…

The utmost stressful part of attending college is figuring out how to pay for it. The cost of tuition puts countless numbers of individuals into debt. Not to mention, many students also need to pay for ordinary life costs, such as gas, rent, food, utilities, and other miscellaneous expenses, on top of their college expenses. Then, after being accepted into the college, paying for a parking spot, and paying for a seat in a number of classrooms, textbooks still need to be purchased for those classes separately. The cost of college textbooks is approximately $1,000 annually, according to a report prepared by Natsuko Hayashi Nicholls at the University of Michigan.…
