During the my high school years I have participated in the State College Area High School Renaissance Faire. At this time I have 2 different leadership positions one involves teaching a group of students to sword fight and the other leadership position involves advertising the club to the school. As a part of this club I have learned to speak in front of other people. Since my Sophomore year of high school I have participated in the chamber orchestra group at my high school. Over the years I have worked diligently to maintain decent grades throughout middle school and high school. I have kept a grade point average of 3.5 and have devoted many hours of extra courses online in order to graduate in May of 2016, one year ahead of my class. From 2013 to 2015, I finalized a two-year Business Management Program and obtained college credits by completing this course. Discuss a leadership experience you have had in any area of your life: school, work, athletics, family, church, community, etc. How and why did you become a leader in this area? How did this experience influence your goals? I was playing soccer with my friends in my neighborhood just a normal day everything looked as usual. But while I was playing soccer I was hearing a noise, not knowing if I am the only one who is hearing I felt deluded for a moment and stopped playing soccer and headed to the direction where the noise was coming from.…
Throughout high school, I have been involved in many activities. I started off with the STEM academy in my high school. In the STEM academy, we held special events that teach people, especially kids, about new experiments and science-related careers. I helped out the STEM academy by explaining people about the experiments, the purpose behind the experiments and cleaned or organized lab equipment. I was a part of the STEM academy for approximately three years in high school and I really enjoyed it because I knew I could make a difference in my community.…
Visions are only unique as the individual themselves who make up this country. America is not the same as it was ten years ago. Who would have thought that we would have cell phones that were similar to a small computer in our pocket, a car that could talk back to us, or that we would have an African American president? Our visions for America could change everyday. My vision for America is very unique for my age group.…
My life changed in a blink of an eye, the moment I turned in sixteen years old. My parents told me, that it was better for my future to finish high school in America. I was thrilled, but at the same time I knew coming to America meant starting over. Leaving my country, my family, my friends, and my culture was the hardest thing I had to do in my life. After living two years away from parents, I can say that the sacrifice was worth it.…

Throughout my first year at the Lindner College of Business, I have sifted through the abundance of rich opportunities that the college has to offer. Professionally, I have had the opportunity to participate and engage in the Fall and Spring careers fairs that have led to interviews both times. Of course, this success at the career fairs only came with preparation. I felt prepared to attend and interact at this year's career fairs after utilizing the Resumania event and participating in multiple discussions with career coaches, Kevin Hardy and James Gaffney.…
A long time goal I had and achieved was qualifying for Nationals for Business Professionals of America. At the start of the school year in my business class my teacher introduced us to Business Professionals of America, an organization that puts on business competitions. He gave us a list of topics of which we would take a test and compete against others on, of which I choose Business Law and Ethics. We we’re assigned this in October and had until November before we had to take the test that would be graded, from which the best ones would win at Regionals and go onto States, and from States to Nationals.…

Maybe your big ideas and confidence gave way to the reality that it’s harder than you thought or harder than others made it seem (from the outside looking in). With my client’s permission, I wanted to share a part of her journey in the hope that you may see an echo of your own. Jenny wanted to create a business and do work that made her feel fulfilled, whole, like she was living with purpose. Sound familiar?…
