If you like math, then you would get along great with Lincoln. A great math student at sawtooth Middle school. Lincoln is 14 years old. Lincoln is an avid church goer and his hero is a church character. Lincoln loves to laugh and make jokes. He made me crack up during the interview a lot! He is very funny but is also a great student. While he is at school he does not eat the lunch made here but he brings his own lunch from home. The quote that made me laugh was “I don’t know why everyone hates school so much, I love school for the most part”. While we are talking about school his most favorite teacher ever is Ms. Duke. Science is one class he does not like because it is really boring and pointless. When he is not in school he likes to play baseball and basketball. …show more content…
He says baseball is a very fun and challenging sport but he says he is not that good at it. Basketball is a sport he loves but he says he does not play that much anymore because mostly he just plays baseball now. Here is a random fact, he says his favorite shoes are running shoes. As long as they are cool looking, although it doesn’t matter which brand of shoes. Wrapping up this interview we got into deeper questions. I asked him about things he would change about himself. Although he answered not very deeply. He said that he would change his height. Another question I asked that was pretty deep was if you could have dinner with anyone in the world who would it be, he said that it would be Abe Lincoln. He said that because it’s a famous person that shares the same last name. That is my story about

Oates Paper When you think of Abraham Lincoln, you think of Honest Abe, the Great Emancipator, the common man’s president, etc. Stephen B. Oates in his book, Abraham Lincoln: The Man Behind the Myths, gives an insight into the real Lincoln, showing a different view of Lincoln. Slavery is a major part of U.S. History regardless of the negative reflection it puts on the United States. Slavery divided politicians, as well as states. Slavery was not the reason for the Civil War in the beginning, but it was always a main factor of the war, especially after the Emancipation Proclamation was introduced. In the article, “A Man but Not a Brother: Abraham Lincoln and Racial Equality”, by George M. Fredrickson, writes about Lincoln and his stance on slavery. Fredrickson records that Lincoln never really took a stance on slavery throughout his politician career, that he would have views for both against slavery and for slavery at times.…

I fear I am dying soon. My life has been filled with adventures to being frightned at the thought of getting caught while taking the grimy beaten down slaves to freedom. I've met many people on my adventures with the underground railroad. I met a man by the name Frederick Douglass, he-with the help of his wife- let me stay at their house with the railroad. They were kindhearted people and it was a pleasure to stay with them for three days.…

Greetings classmates, A 3 mile run from my house is a historic place that was settled by the Timucua Indians, French and Spanish explorers. The run takes place on mostly shaded sidewalk with some dappled sunlight. Occasionally, I will have my iPhone with me for music and tracking purposes but sometimes I don’t bring it. There are rarely other runners when I run. The run there and back is a time of reflection to gain focus and clarity about the coming events.…

When I visited George Washington my sophomore year of high school, I instantly knew that your school is where I wanted to go for college. It just wasn't like any of the other colleges that I had seen before, and for that matter it was unlike any I have seen since. I saw that GW is in a beautiful location and that its presence in the capitol greatly enhances both its value and the city’s around it. I really liked walking around the campus, as it was extremely vibrant. I saw that safety is also important, and the combination of security that holds jurisdiction in this area is extremely reassuring.…

Frederick Douglass was an American slave boy in Maryland. He was born sometime in 1818, though the date is not exactly known. Many slave-owners thought it best to keep information on a slave’s birth from them, almost so the slaves would think that they, themselves, weren't quite human. Life for Frederick was difficult, to put it lightly. He began life with his mother until she was sent away.…

Freedom is a sense or feeling when you decide or do something without restriction, it would not be being enslaved or imprisoned. We might think that freedom is innately and probably neglect the importance in our life. However, among the reading we read in this semester, they teach me that some people fight for the freedom and I should treasure the thing we have at this moment. I am most interested in “Narrative of The Life” written by Frederick Douglass and “From A Room of One’s Own” written by Virginia Woolf. Both influence me to have a deeper understanding of slaves in America and the women’s status in the past.…
