Personal Narrative: My Interview With Jennifer Bochniak

I was honored to have the opportunity to interview Jennifer Bochniak from Liberty Mutual, who is the director of special projects, and manages projects. Her job is communicating input and roll it out herself or someone who works in the underwriting in California, they change reevaluation if doing something and also sets up a process for training which includes when and how someone would get trained. As we begun discussing her successful career, she told me about her exciting journey in the underwriting world and how much she likes her job and the company, I asked her if she always wanted to work in this field and for Liberty Mutual, to which she told me she didn’t. In fact, she earned a marketing degree. She was checking on her dads’ policy when the sales manager at that time asked her if she wanted a job. Once every year they serve the community by volunteering, organizing events, food pantry, visiting elementary schools, thrift shops. They support the society by giving back to the community. They also have a program for the employees where they match the charity dollar to dollar. Jennifer said that her working schedule varies, and her hours could be anywhere from forty to sixty per week, forty being the least. On an average, she spends five to seven hours a week outside of office, working on the weekends or at night but sometimes doesn’t have to spend any, necessarily. She said the most interesting part of her job is developing employees and watching people learn. I also asked her if they hire interns for finance each year and if so, how many, upon which she said yes. They hire about 40-50 interns in Dallas every year and her office gets about 4-5 interns who are in the underwriting department and give you ‘red stuff’ for underwriting. She said she is where she is today because of her organizational and analytical

Ms. Herring said on this date her live-in-boyfriend of 13 years, Brian Mott, battered her because there were no cigarettes in the residence.
