She was very helpful in offering her services. At first, I lamented about how strenuous school work was getting as midterms drew near. This was my attempt to gain empathy and bond with her through mutual experiences. As a college student, Haley knew the importance of having a reliable resource. Since we both worked as servers, I went out of my way to be more visible to her. Whenever the opportunity presented itself, I would try to strike up a friendly conversation with her.
