While reading and watching television, she enjoyed anything that had to do with traveling. As a child, her family couldn’t afford to take summer vacations. She often dreamed of a better life that includes seeing the world and many different aspects of the world. Traveling has become one of her favorite hobbies. Motion sickness has been a problem that Dr. German has battled all of her life; therefore, she prefers traveling by land than by air. Conversing, reminiscing, and retelling funny stories results in precious family time. Dr. German said, “Driving long distances allows you to reconnect with your family.”
Scenery is what interests her the most while traveling by car. It is very beautiful and unique in many ways. All of the different kinds of animals she sees on the side of the road just fascinates her. Every time she sees a different kind of animal, she records it in a book. Also seeing snow-capped mountains and streams flowing as a result of melted snow is peaceful and

Is life on the road for everyone? Life on the road is not for everybody which in theory is understandable because traveling can be unpredictable. Most little girls dream of being a ballerina when they grow up, I was the little girl who dreamed of medical school. Anyone who was brave enough to ask got my vehement no when asked if I thought that the college, subsequent medical school, and training would be too much school or that I would get bored.
