I had the pleasure of interviewing Jacob, a friendly 24 year old gun and automotive fanatic. Jacob is studying electrical engineering and sees himself living in Huntsville, working for an engineering firm in the next 20 years. In his free time, he enjoys working on his dream car, a Honda s2000, and shooting guns, including his favorite, an AK-47. Jacob is also currently in the army and is a member of the NRA; additionally, and a value that Jacob would fight for would be improved gun laws. His hero and the person he admires most are Chestie Puller and Dan Dailey, two famous army veterans. He got interested into going into the army because his grandfather loved shooting guns with him when he was little, including his grandfather’s 22 caliber

I hate it when I have prepared, a carefully crafted soliloquy, a sentiment of pure splendor, a plethora of plentiful thought, and my script is discard within seconds because the conversation takes a detour. Conversations are inimitable and completely wild. They roam from topic to topic without a glance at the well written thoughts I have so tedious prepare the night before. When I reach a place to interject a bit of my rehearsed dialogue, it comes unnatural and the conversation withers within seconds. This only contributes to the fascination and passion I have for writing.…

I kept the same habits from high school, where I wouldn't ask for help even if I needed it, and tried to do things entirely on my own. Since that wasn't working, and the end of the semester nearing, I did something I never did back in high school: I sought tutor help. The tutor I met with, Cecilia, not only helped me craft near perfect lab reports that were needed to narrowly pass the class, she also inspired me to be a better person. It turns out, which I later found out, that university tutors are not required to help with lab reports. Thus, it occurred to me that Cecilia helped me out of her own whim.…

As a child growing up in Rhode Island, the smallest state in the Union, the idea of a vast planet brimming with civilization and culture was more like something out of a fairy tale than it was reality. So, when my father announced that we would be leaving the country to go to Scotland, the home of his and my ancestors, my world began to expand at a rapid pace. This trip could not have been timed more perfectly. The summer of 2007 marked the end of fourth grade, my first year at Saint Mary Academy Bay View.…
