A few transformations and developments about me over summer or maybe even the last time I thought about how much I have changed. One social transformation I went through would be a change of views on how I see the world, second would be my interest and hobbies, doing and liking things that I wouldn’t particularly thought I would even like or do. Lastly one thing that hasn’t really changed would be the love I have for my dearest mother.…
I have always believed that happiness is not about what what you have; it is what you can give. Keeping this in mind every day, I strive to volunteer whenever the opportunity arises. By being active in the community, one can learn the importance of love, friendship, and gratefulness. Throughout my life, I have been a part of many organizations that have presented the opportunity to give back. Through volunteering, I have had the chance to impact to countless lives in the community.…
I am extremely pleased to find that your company has posted a recruitment opportunity for an opening position for a full-time pharmacist on Purdue myCCO. Seeing that CVS Caremark being ranked as the top 13th on Fortune 500 companies, I am aware that this position will be competitive and very much selective in its recruitment process. Despite that fact, I believe I am able to uphold the skills and qualifications in which you and your company is looking for. As a member of my community, I have always been finding ways to get involve and make a difference.…

One’s identity is who they truly are as a person. People don’t define you. you define yourself. You define yourself with your actions, personality, and the roles you play in other people’s lives. At this point in my life I’m still trying to figure out who I am.…
I am someone who smiles Someone always telling jokes to make sure no one thinks something is wrong So no one suspects a thing when they see my smile I am someone who fixes the feelings of those whose hearts are shattering like pieces of glass I am someone who loves to dress up and wear makeup so no one sees how truly I am From the bags from staying up at night to the red from crying, both under the concealer Tears behind my eyeshadow-covered eyelids Cracks underneath my red lipstick And the pain within the mouth that contains whitened teeth…
My community involvement has made me witness poverty, hunger and dementia with all of their consequences first hand, making it my personal mission to educate my peers on all these issues. This experience has allowed me to grow as a person and helped me discover who I really am, and who I want to become in order to make a difference in this world. I intended to change the lives of others but in turn they have changed…
Having a community where you can lean back on is one of the most important things that I have had in my life. The community I have always been involved in is sports but the one that impacted me the most was a community called drop-in soccer. Drop-in soccer is where different teams will play against each other every Tuesday and Thursday. I was invited to play on one of the teams by my assistant head coach from my high school soccer.…
Though I’m still developing my legacy, I like to think that most people who know me, regardless of how well, consider me a person that can put a smile on nearly any face. From my time in high school as photo studio assistant getting babies to giggle on camera to my work as a personal trainer cracking jokes to help clients through the worst parts of their workouts; I learned that a little laughter can improve any situation. While this is a fairly simple impact to have on people, I do believe that it’s a powerful one. My own experiences with bereavement, chronic ill health and periods of poor mental health have shown me the value of a person that puts in the effort and time to get a smile out of someone. Though happiness is a pretty fleeting…

I was born in the Dominican Republic to a nurseryman and my mother was a homemaker. My father had a high school education, while my mom was never allowed to attend school. However, I saw the brilliance in my mother and I know she would have done great things if given the opportunity. We lived in one of the poorest area of Santiago and I would see the struggles of the people around me.…
There are a couple of obstacles that have played a major role in me becoming who I am today. I've had naysayers trying to negatively influence my thoughts, and crush my dreams by saying that said I will never amount to anything, or that I should give up on my dreams and get realistic with my goals. A couple years ago I was a completely different person. I was out of shape physically, my academic performance was very poor, and I had a terrible attitude. I improved greatly in athletics and my academic career.…
She stands alone, with her youth and pregnant glow. Among many, she waits in line to receive her day-to-day meal, my mother explained. Every time we passed by, I would glare through the window looking for her, my heart weighed heavy in my chest. Something was wrong, and something needed to change. I was 8, with little to no resources, but I was child on a mission and I was unstoppable.…
There are many problems in my community. I want to address a few that I see on an every day basis. My community is infested with drugs. Individuals are selling drugs on almost every corner. It is so easy to get your hands on almost anything and everything you are looking for whether it be weed, heroine, crack cocaine, Percocet, xanax, (etc).…
