Personal Narrative: My Identity

Some call me Jake and others call me Jacob. Either or will do. I am Jacob Green and to briefly describe myself in four words is very challenging, but in those four words involving my heritage, background, and ethnicity I would say Irish, rural, white, and talkative. However, everyone is unique coming from different backgrounds and having various ethnicities, everyone is peculiar in their own way. What makes up a person is who they are, it is their identity. I am now going to tell you a little about my own identity.
I come from a mainly Irish heritage with a mix of some German, English, and French. A little background about myself is that I come from a small town in northwest Ohio called Defiance, it is a very rural area. My family and I are a middle class family with a sports oriented history. As far as ethnicity goes, I am a White American. These traits are what makes a human distinguish who they. This is who I am and could not be any happier from where I came from or who I am and have become so far.

By forming a description of myself through family has taught me to be proud of who I am and where I come from.
Another thing that I am most proud of is coming from a middle class family. All you ever hear about anymore is how America is in debt and don’t get me wrong, everyone is in debt in some way, but for my family to have a roof over my head, clothes to wear and to be able to get an education is very fortunate.
