Mallory is an average 16 year old girl... She had no idea on what she thought was an average day, her life would change. *****

"Mallory get down here now!" Mallory's mother yelled at her with anger and lots of it in her tone. "who broke my vase? when I got home it was in a million pieces!", Mallory looked up and down and saw small pieces of glass on the floor. "I didn’t do it!" I said, shaking my head back and forth with my hands up, Carter came bursting through the kitchen doors, they flew back and hit the counter and made the cereal box fall, "what's up guys?" Carter asked, watching the cereal, roll around on the floor. "Hey mom?" "what carter" she said, you could tell she was very annoyed and ready to yell she got down on all fours

Where does this lead to, I twist the doorknob slowly, after the door is open all I see is stairs that lead into the darkness. I am unsure if I should walk down them, I run downstairs and see carter on the couch,( by the way, carter is my twin we are both 16 and we were born on the same day.)"I need you to come with me ASAP" Carter's face turned into confusion, "why?" He said "I have no clue, I just don't want to go alone …show more content…

One after the other they all lunged at me and tried to get me on the ground, but I kept hitting them with my hammer not letting them get to me. After all the dolls were broken or gone off somewhere I started the search for carter, I know he's not far. I went around the room shining the flashlight and shouting Carter's name when I came to a stop when my foot had hit something, I shined my light down on it and it looked like a hatch , I quickly grabbed my hammer and pried the hatch open to see carter sitting on the ground, he had his face in his knees and hands wrapped around his

Joseph Campbell was a scholar who studied ancient mythology for many years. He came up with the idea of the Hero’s Journey. The Hero’s Journey says that all the heroes will come across many processes throughout their journey. Each of the processes gets the hero closer to his/her prize. Perhaps I am not a hero, but I have experienced many things on leaving my home state and coming to a foreign one.…

So it started out as a normal school day and as we were coming back from lunch we all went to the restroom and only six of us got taken. As we were using the restroom Andrew Myers, Jahzara Mckinney, Kadance Gravely, Maddox Lyons, Hayden Elliott, Kaylie Hawks and myself were pulled into the sewers and through a pipe that somehow took us to a island. We were stranded there by ourselves the island was like a forest in a way it has tall redwood trees high grass like the jungle and a beautiful glossering pond. So as we were there we were all panicking then I just got really quiet. We went to bed and the next morning Hayden and Jahzara were fighting over food we had from killing Andrew we had a lot of food left over from yesterday but both Jahzara and Hayden wanted that same piece.…

Over the years and years spent on studying mythology, Joseph Campbell came up with the concept of The Hero’s Journey. The Hero’s Journey states that all hero’s travel in a similar path and go through many similar stages that’ll lead them to their reward. However, not every hero’s journey has to involve obstacles as in slaying a dragon or trying to save the world. In my case, I had to do nothing but trying to make it through sixth grade year. Sadly, sixth grade was the year that I faced the most challenges, real world challenges at least.…

Vanessa had than me a list that I had made her with a couple assignments crossed out, then she said: “Are you guys ready to go to my house so we can finish the rest of the assignments there?”. Elyah then jumped into the conversation and then says “Yes, let’s just go”. I did not want to leave, but I ended up getting up after they had walked out the room, so I ran down the hallways to catch up to them. Personal Essay: I walk through the doors and feel the sand squish under my boots. A refreshingly chilly breeze blows through the arena with the smell of rain. In my right hand is the rope, folded over twice so that it doesn’t drag. The clic-clack of the horses hooves die away as he walks in behind me and I can feel his warm breath on my elbow. I’m sitting at the top of the tower, gazing down on the rest of the city. It seems to be about midnight, but I can see for miles with the light of the full moon. I lean over and let my legs dangle off the railing a little. The wind makes noises like thunder when it whips past my ears, but the sound of the heartbeat in my chest is too loud for me to really hear it. I take a few deep breaths in an attempt to calm myself, even though I know it won’t work.…
