Personal Narrative: My Hero's Journey

It felt like an eternity of walking. The knot in my stomach grew larger with every step. As I made my way to Eumaeus’s house I began to wonder, Why was I here if I hadn’t found my father yet. I spent an entire year searching for him and nothing. A wave of disappointment engulfed me and there was nothing I could do about it.
As usual, the dogs watched me silently as I reached the front door. I opened the door and saw an old man dressed in rags with a tangled white beard sitting with the swineherd. He stared silently as Eumaeus stood up and embraced me. I wrapped my arms around him, realizing just how much I missed him. He kissed my head, which he was just barely able to reach. I looked around and saw an old house covered in little things that

The old man stood up, offering me his seat. As customary, I refused and let him continue sitting there. The swineherd made me a spot to sit. That man looks awfully familiar, I thought to myself. Eumaeus got us the leftover roast pork and a basket full of bread. He sat down next to me facing the beggar. We ate the food and I asked Eumaeus to notify my mother about my return. I bent down to grab another piece of bread when I felt a strange presence in the house. It was strange because I have only ever felt it when a god is somewhere nearby. I looked up and the old man transformed into a young, well-dressed, and muscular man. I was completely dumbfounded. I have never seen anyone do anything like that. I looked away as quickly as possible, trying not to show my terror to this amazing person. Was he a god coming to spite me?
“H-How did you become someone new? How did you become so young? You must be a god, please be kind to us! Have mercy on us!”
“I am no god,” the stranger replied. “I am your father. I am the one who made you suffer without

Abraham by Hrotsvitha and a Play for Representing Adam, author unknown are both similar and different to one another in a variety of ways. Adam is directly based on the Bible text, while Abraham has references to God and the Bible, but takes place in its own time and place. Each are effective of communicating the messages they intend to in their own way, in construction, in their use of Representatio, and in the use of dialogue, staging, humor, wordplay, metaphor and characterization. A special focus on Representatio can show the effectiveness of each play. Beginning with construction, Abraham is in its format much more what the reader today would be used to.…

I was drawn closer to the ruckus of the court room. It wasn’t the peculiar defendant’s case or Emperor Claudius’s visit that caught my attention, it was the alluring, musical voice. I dragged my hands along the stone walls of the basilica until I passed the stench of the audience and drew near enough to the jury to hear their creaking wooden benches. I leaned against the wall near the edge of the room while in line with the defendant’s voice which sounded close. Unlike most prisoners who came, his voice lacked the rasp of thirst and rang through the crowd.…

When the Bridge fell so did God and the possibility of God and for as long as Antonello lived, and he lived a long time, he would never again turned to God.
