Since I was born all I knew was Catholicism nothing else. My mother and her family taught me the catholic traditions and also attended classes at my church. Catholicism was the only religion experience I knew growing up . When I started to growing mind wise I was able to experience other religions. I have experienced first hand how hard it is when you’re attacked based on the faith you practice. With these harsh personal experiences I grew as a person.
Growing up in Catholic Faith, I went to religion classes throughout my childhood I’ve seen and experienced that there are many different religions and different backgrounds. Even my Mother and her family have taught me and my siblings the importance of being able to be around the different people and religions. Sometimes we as human beings think that we are superior than the other and it should not be like that and there some people who are like that.

There were times where it was hard to show respect to someone’s religion when they don’t show respect back. I always look back on how I was raised and it helped me through those difficult times also being Catholic made me open minded to all the different religion and traditions that are around me. Also I have realized that are many other countries who have people practicing Christianity like in the middle east, north africa etc. This makes me realize that this world is changing for the good and people are accepting others for who they are and what they believe in.
There is something that really bothers me about the Catholic church because I am a very open minded person and I like to find out new things about life. One of the things I like to do is know about other religions and how it affects people. The first commandment states that there “Shall not have no other Gods before

From the beginning of my years as a child I was taught and raised catholic. My parents viewed religion as an outlet to consider when making decisions in life. Going to church every Sunday became the new routine that I just had to get accustomed to. However when the missionaries came to the tribe in the novel Things Fall Apart, written by Chinua Achebe, this shows how the introduction of a new religion to an uncivilized tribe shows the extent to which people forced their beliefs onto others.…

The Roman Catholic Church has been a second home for me and the community has become family. I grew up learning and building a love for the morality, compassion, teachings, discipline, support and safety that comes with being a part of the Catholic community and attending Catholic school. The Catholic traditions that I have experienced throughout my life have shaped the way I experience God now. “Scripture and Tradition are mutually related: Tradition gave birth to the Scriptures and is always necessary in order to interpret the Scriptures; the Scriptures, in turn, are the text that definitively expresses the Apostolic Tradition” (Ontario Catholic Secondary Curriculum…

This assignment was important for a better understanding of American religious diversity because it demonstrated the biased that exists and how diversity can lead to issues regarding religion.…
