Decent Essays
If I could meet one family member, I would meet my great grandfather Oscar Salk. I want to meet him because I want to hear the story about how he came to America directly from him. He tried to come to America from Europe, but he was denied access into the country and had to live in Cuba for a few years. He was separated from my great grandmother because she had to go to Canada. He then came to America and eventually settled in Illinois with my great grandmother where he had my grandfather. I would love to learn about how it felt to be denied access to America and all the details first hand. That is why I want to meet my great-grandfather, Oscar Salk.
