Personal Narrative: My Granny Frances Mcginnis Wise

The definition of a hero is a person in the opinion of another who has heroic qualities and Is seen as a role model. My granny Frances McGinnis Wise had possessed the qualities of a hero by being courageous, compassionate, dedicated, loyal, honest, and determined. She showed courage by not being scared of what may come she had stage four colon and liver cancer and stayed strong till the end. I recall the day she found out that her cancer was stage four everyone was over at her house, she cooked a big meal and made sure to stay strong for us when she should have been staying strong for herself. Compassion was a key aspect of her house if you didn’t have and show compassion you better get out of her house. She was very dedicated to her family and friends always helping when one of us was in need and made sure we had family gathered every few weeks so we would stay close. The weekend she passed away, she had set up a family cookout and wanted everyone to come, she loved to have the family together. My granny was very loyal and honest in everything she did, she stuck to her word and wasn't scared to say the truth. Determination is the biggest one of them all she was determined to make sure her love showed and she was determined to beat cancer, even though it was very chronic These …show more content…
That I am strong willed and willing to fight for what I believe. I have a hard head and a strong heart, even when times are rough and I just want to give up. My personality is very influenced by her because she taught me how to behave and act to be honest and loyal even when it's unnecessary. By watching and learning from her I have a very strict set of moral I want to live my life by. Like being kind to others, having open arms to help, being brave in hard situations and believing that everyone has some amount of good in them, even if they don't show
