He would sway in his spindle rocking chair while I sat on his lap. He seized those tender moments to teach me the important lessons of life. He spoke about character and the difference between right and wrong, religion, ethics, and saving money. I will always admire my grandfather for his patience and perseverance. He exercised patience by helping raise four children and over ten grandchildren. The disability of blindness only allowed him to show his strength and ability to persevere.
