My Golf Cart Stories

Some and or most of these should be relatable to you, because these are all the good times I had with my golf cart back at my old house when I lived near you. Hope you enjoy the memories!

My Brother’s accident

It was a cloudy day, and I remember it perfectly. Well… actually I was young so I don’t remember it perfectly, but the image of him getting absolutely demolished is still in my mind clearly and it’s glorious. Now, I remember that it was a few weeks before school, and summer was ending. My parents surprised us with a golf cart as my late present. (Even though I wasn't aloud to drive it till later.) And we all watched as my brother pulled out of the garage, and slowly went down the driveway, and eventually forgot that he had to hit the break on a uphill slope. Eventually he got to the road and got wrecked. A black car came

You know, the ones where it looked almost exactly like a gun, but instead shot small bb’s instead? Yea those ones. Well, it was Anders birthday and we were about halfway through the “war” and it was getting boring, so both teams ran back to their houses and eventually we started up the idea of starting up the golf cart. We all started to load up when we heard them yelling over about it, so we got excited and drove out as fast as we could. There were about 4 of us and we were going down the driveway, when a ton of bbs rained down on the top of the cart, We drove down and returned fire, when they pelted us. This went on for a while as they hid in the woods and tried to demolish us. There was another war where we used it in the woods, we had a path near the infamous “horseshoe trail”. It was ambush central in that fight, we took turns tracking and shooting at eachother with the cart. Or when we went to Brent and Evans house down the dirt road, so many more hiding places and fun times down there with other vehicles as well. Too bad we had to get rid of

When the two cars returned back to the President Street Station, the soldiers had no other choice but to walk down Pratt Street. The first troop led the rest down the street by carrying a rebel flag. While walking, soldiers got stones and bricks thrown at them; some civilians even had firearms. Eventually, shots were fired. The troops were then ordered to fire into the crowd, which only made the crowd retaliate and fire back.…

On a beautiful clear morning of February the 19th, my mom picked me up from my class at the University of West Georgia, then we went to Waffle House to have a nice breakfast. We left from Waffle House, proceeding down Maple Street, and turned onto South Street and immediately onto Kenner Street. We then turned onto on the merging lane on South Park Street (US Hwy 27) heading south, we immediately halted to a full stop as vehicles moved from the middle lane into the merging lane in front of us, but at that time there were no vehicles behind us. As we waited to enter traffic, a car suddenly struck us from behind which caused the car to jerk violently forward, causing my mother’s chest to hit the steering wheel, and our heads and bodies to whip forward and then back.…

Officially, starting from that day, my life was filled with elation and happiness. I never want to forget the time I started reading Maximum Ride. Starting off my day, I woke up from bed, gulped down some chow, and went back to sitting on my more than comfortable bed, reading the book of my future dreams: “Maximum Ride.” It was necessary to read this book, for a competition, called, Battle of the Books. Continuing on, the deeper I read into the book, the more hooked into the book I was.…

As a child, I remember my grandma reading me The Little Engine that Could every time I visited her house. Which may seem slightly odd that, that’s what I enjoyed as a kid. It quickly led to me writing in school. During kindergarten, we were all about writing our own books. For example, I ended that year with 22 books.…

The day started like any other, but the same could not be said for how it ended. I arrived at the town golf course, Longshore, about 30 minutes before my tee time. There was slight cloud coverage, minimal wind, and a comfortable temperature. Glints of sun through the clouds periodically illuminated blades of grass, almost signaling for the ball to be hit there. The bentgrass took a deep, rich shade of green from the recent douses of rain.…

The experience that I went through and that I would like to share was when I played golf in the beginning of the year. I was fine managing my schedule during the first week or two of school, but then I started getting more and more homework as the weeks went on. I had a hard time keeping up with my school work and playing golf. I practiced every day after school and I didn’t really have any time after school to do my homework. Playing golf took up basically all of my time because I played it 5-7 days a week between practicing with the school team or practicing with my golf instructor/coach.…

As an eighth grader on a sports team, I was one of the youngest players on the golf team and there were a lot of high hopes for me because I had been golfing ever since I was very young. The previous year, there were many seniors that graduated and I actually made the varsity team. There are a total of five players from each school that make it to the the State Tournament if they qualify as a team. All season, I was the number five golfer which meant that I could be replaced at any time if I started to struggle. Knowing this scared me a lot because I wanted to impress the older golfers and I didn't want to let them down.…

What this means portrays if you haven't seen failure before it will come and it's going to make you feel some type of way maybe sad maybe mad. When you fail you should be lead to strive for a better means in whatever you are doing. I have been on the varsity golf team since 8th grade and we have had success and failure as a team and individually. Last year I played in a match at lake whales and coach rode up in the cart and said that my score was going to count so I was thinking way too much which portrayed a not so good feeling when you play golf because 95 percent of the game of golf all in your head.…
