Personal Narrative: My Goals For A Job

My current goals are to finish high school, then work for a year to save for a new car and college. I want to go to college and find a job so that I can have a better life, which is the reason my family came to the U.S. I’d like to become a mechanic so that I can fix my car and my family’s cars.

My dad has always told me to do something I love since once you get a job you have to be ready to have that job for a long time. After that I want to open my own auto shop. When I open my shop I want to help other people by teaching them how to fix cars so that they have training to find better jobs. When I was in Mexico I saw many people who had a family to raise and they didn't have a job; therefore, I want to help people who need the financial help. After, I want to go to Mexico and build a house, buy a big ranch with many horses and cows, and this way I will be able to help some people in Mexico by giving them a job taking care of my ranch and house.

Another thing I want to do is, make a house for my dad and mom because they have always supported me and helped me in everything since I was a little kid. I am very thankful for having them in my life and for raising me to become the man I am now. Being this my last year of high school I feel good,but at the same time I don't want to graduate because after this I will be facing the real world. It is not going to be easy, but I will try my best. At first I didn't like school but now that I know this is my last year I feel like i'm going to miss school. The ptp (personal transition plan) has taught me many thing I am going to need outside of school, but once I graduate I am going to follow my dreams and have fun in life because we only live
