For example, Geometry was a maze to her, like solving angles within a triangle within another triangle. I would tell her to work from the inside to outside. After explaining step by step and assisting her along the way I created a similar problem for her to do by herself. Misha stared at the made up problem with a blank expression. She proceeded to tell me, “I don’t understand any of this.” Then she looks up at me expecting me to do something to solve this crisis. So I decided to explain again and before I knew it this was the regular routine in our session together. I grew frustrated and confused about Misha lack of understanding, or perhaps I wasn’t clear enough. Around almost a month of tutoring I decided to change my game plan while figuring out why she couldn’t wrap her head around anything we
