Personal Narrative: My Future In-Service Presentation

Improved Essays
My future in-service presentations would be less lecture-based and more activity based. The lecture may have been too long and in the future I would limit the didactic to ten minutes. Discussions and learning activities such as, discussions, videos, and matching games about diverse cultures would be implemented to keep the nurses’, interested, focused and to improve learning outcomes. Multiple activities were incorporated into the curriculum, but due to time constraints only discussions were implemented. The nurses discussed their encounters with patients of different cultures, and this proved to be a positive impact on the in-service in promoting nurses to have open dialog amongst them when caring for patients of different cultures.

I have always been interested in learning and using new ideas. Throughout my life, I have invariably drawn from my life experiences, newly learned ideas and my continuing education to help problem-solve sensibly and realistically allowing me to move forward or help others reach their goals. Although I have no formal teaching experience, in my past work and involvement in organized sports, I have repeatedly used the Progressive philosophy. When dealing with 13 & 14 year olds many situations arise such as bullying, personality clashes or simply not understanding a drill or play. I deal with these situations by asking questions to stimulate a discussion, allowing them to draw on past experiences; positive or negative, consequently allowing them to come up with a solution or grasp the knowledge they are seeking.…

But I personally believe that we all need money, but I would also want to pick the major that I would enjoy in and which would make me proud. For instance, I like to help others…
