Personal Narrative: My Freshman Year In Football

A person that liked being in a peaceful environment around people that acted like young adults. A person that was really focused in his grades and preparing itself for soccer season for his sophomore year. That was the type of student I was, hated being around irritating and childish people. Unfortunately, that’s how the soccer players were and the reason why I wasn’t joining the soccer team my freshman year. But, the future had different plans for me. . .
My freshman year in high school I was a nerd, A’s in most of my classes. Hated students that only went to class to argue with the teacher or just to make fun of them. I would always looked at the soccer players in the middle of the hall way screaming, jumping, and pushing each other like simians. Keeping thoughts to myself and wishing for them to mature by the time I joined the team. Time pasted and we were back from winter break. Soccer season was about to start and it was time for schedule changes. Unexpectedly, my friend that I knew back from middle school convinced me to join the team.

That game changed the way of viewing certain things. I still believed some of them were extremely annoying. But those were the players that played with heart; players that fought every second of the game. I was the only one from the team that didn’t communicated a lot with the rest of the team during lunch. I would prefer doing work at a classroom for extra-credit or eat with some of my friends that were calm. Instead of getting embarrassed by my teammates. Every time I passed by them, they were always doing estrange things that made other people looked at them as if they were crazy, and that’s the reason I didn’t interacted with them.
