Personal Narrative: My Freshman Year At Otay Ranch High School

The first semester of my freshman year at Otay Ranch High School went very well as I learned three major things that will help me this next semester. First of all, I learned the importance of not procrastinating on doing my work for classes. Second of all, I learned that some bad things will happen that can lead to worse in classes. Third of all, I learned that having fun in classes made the subject more likeable and allowed me to learn more. To begin with, I learned the importance of not procrastinating. One of my classes is AP Human Geography, so I often get assigned very long and time-consuming packets. As the teacher would make the due date 3 weeks in the future, I would not bother in completing them in the first two weeks because I had more time to complete it and other assignments due beforehand. When I only had one week to complete it, I would stress myself out to finish the packet making me sleep much later than I usually would. This is not healthy because sleep is very important. In the beginning of the year, I got a new science teacher, as the original teacher I had had passed away. At first, she seemed like a good teacher, but later on, she did not. Many classroom assignments would be assigned as homework and the teacher would give us no explanation. She also decided not to use the laptops provided until halfway through the semester, which slowed us down. There was much more that many people did not like about the way she taught. This made me dislike my science class and science itself. I was looking forward to a good science class, but it had ended up being the complete opposite. But that did not mean that I would no longer try in the class. I learned that sometimes bad things will happen that lead to worse, But I should still try to make the most out of
