When I was 18 years old, I was employed at the Rainbow learning center which was a daycare through the Flint, MI board of education. While employed there for 5 years, I worked with children between the ages of infant-12 years old. I then found myself back in college starting a career in the dental assisting field. My key life lessons are that nothing beats hard work and if you treat others with respect, they will generally treat you with respect. Hard work and effort are the main aspects that lead to “lucky” things happening. Good things don’t just fall into people’s laps, the ones that have the most “luck” generally are those that put in the most effort and work. Also, I have learned that when you truly respect those around, they will respect you back and life is much easier when you aren’t doing things behind each other’s backs.…

In the Strengths Finder survey, my five greatest strengths are adaptability, harmony, responsibility, consistency and an includer (Gallup, 2010). I realized that I had some of those strengths but some of those are new to me. The strength that has always stood out to me that I knew about was responsibility. The other four, I guess I have developed along the way. As I sit and think about my results of my test.…

After reading a few chapters of Strengths Quest, I was instructed to participate in the Strengths Finder assessment (Anderson, Clifton, & Schreiner, 2006). This 30 minute assessment was an interesting tool that pointed out my greatest strengths. It also provided a detailed description of what having those strengths mean and examples of how they are prominent in a person 's life. After taking the StrengthsFinder survey, I discovered that my five dominant strengths are empathy, harmony, consistency, relator, and restorative.…

Core values are the things that inspire us, what we believe is important, and which is significance to us in life. My core values are commitment, fairness and respect for others, and to have trust and love for one another. My most important core value is to have honesty and love. Without love or trust there is no way to form a relationship with another person. For me, when I learned I could no longer trust or kind for someone; I had no feeling left for them.…

Zero, zero is the number of push-ups I could do at the beginning of the year. It was really pathetic and I was really embarrassed that I couldn’t even do one. I went home and looked at what the average push-ups a 13 year old boy should be able to do, it was 13, a lot more than I could do obviously. Now I can do 13 without collapsing. That is why I feel I grew in upper body muscular endurance this year in Wellness & Fitness.…

My strong points as a writer is me being emtional and being descriptive on my writing and I try my best to having good information on what I write when I start telling a story or saying my personal experience about anything that’s connecting to anything that I will write about. The emotional part of my writing I had strong points were my reader would get very touched on anything and I think being emotional would be my strongest point from writing an essay and the second would be being descriptive. Depending on what my assignment would be about my strongest points would get me too much in details but I try to be brief about what I’m talking about.…
