Personal Narrative: My First Youth Football Game

Background: One Saturday morning in august the first game of the season I attended Midway Park for their open day youth football game of the 8u team and the temperature was about 90 degree and while watching the game after 30 minutes into the game one of the official when down on the field. I was call to the field to administer aid to him.
Action:
I ran to the field and notice that official had when down due to dehydration and a lack of proper water or Gatorade before entering the field to call the game. Our emergency plan went into effect while waiting I place cold packs on the official neck, under his arm and on his head to bring down his body temperature. Made sure he receives water after get him stabilize. I got him to a shady area out of the sun and inform the head official of what had occurred with one of his men. Because I am CPR certified I knew the sign and symptom of heat exhaustion in which would have lead into a heat stroke if someone did not know what to do while waiting on the EMT.

He was given fluids and was taken home to get hydrated. The official had officiated the high school game that night before and did not allow his body to fully hydrate before going on the field that next day. Now all official and players must be give plenty of fluids before each
