It quickly went from a nice, fun, vacation to a painful, terrible, nightmare. Just about every year before school starts while my mom has meetings for teachers, my dad takes my sister and I on a small, five day trip to different places. This year, we decided to go to St Louis. Little did I know that this trip would soon turn south very, very, fast.…
ow did your freshman year turn out? Mines went great I could have done things better, but things went pretty well. My freshman year I went to Max S. Hayes High School. My parents were so excited there last born was finally in high school. I was so excited I couldn’t sleep the night before.…
This personal narrative is going to be about the first day of Middle School and my experiences as a 6th grader. It is going to go after my emotions and other descriptive details of the first day. I still remember how the seat belt felt tightening across my chest as the car got closer to the Middle School. During that time I knew nothing about being in a big school because the biggest school i've been in was yankee ridge. (Which is really small).…
After graduating Emge Jr. High, I attended West. On the first day of school I was scared because my old school wasn’t really big and for sure did not have as many people. As I went through my day everything ended up better and I realized it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was. It was more my head making me think that. Freshman year was ok.…
I’ve been in school for about 11 years, every year is different, but yet the same. Because we are at the same school for years, it’s the same people, same school, and same everyday routine. Some years are better than others, but the overall best year that I’ve experienced is or was, 8th grade. The fun field trips to places, High School acceptance, and it’s the last year of middle school.…
Graduation speech Juan C “Nothing is over until the moment you stop trying.”- Bryan Dyson Being Comfortable has been a real struggle for me these past years i’ve been here in holmes.6th grade for a 5th grader is scary, not knowing what is coming for you. 7th grade becomes easier because you already have an idea of how junior high is. 8th is all about reflecting over 6th and 7th grade. But it’s not always about problems, stress and sadness, there's also good times, like when we went to camp duncan in 6th grade, when I performed in the V-Show in 7th grade,…
Aww 7th grade, the second year of middle school. This year had many ups and downs but I guess it is almost over. Got to say I am going to miss most of the teachers. 7th grade was a brand new experience and I think I will never forget most of this year.…
In the seventh grade, I faced a large transition in life. The previous year I had experienced middle school for the first time, but I would make that entrance again. I moved from Texas to North Dakota, where seventh grade was the first year of middle school. I took on those same fears and hopes that I had faced before, but in an unfamiliar place where I had no one except for family to give me support. I tried a lot of new things that year, mainly wrestling.…
My first day of middle school was hell, I have always been good at school. My grades have never been bad and neither have my actions and or attendance. Probably from having a mom that is also a teacher. I look at that as a good thing though, watching kids just goof off and not come to school then high school rolled around and it was like I got to look down on them because they did not prepare for bigger and better things. School wasn't bad for me because it was hard, it was bad because i was always shy in school.…
You! yes I’m talking to you. Do you like school? I know you shook your head and wrinkled your face “no”, How about grades? I used to hate grades and not care about them.…
This year as a freshman at Sublette High School, has been very enjoyable. I enjoyed being around all my friends and getting to know new people. From trying new things, such as being in KAYS, FCA, and being the girls basketball manager, I learned that I liked doing things like that. Some of my favorite memories are painting pumpkins in KAYS, almost making it to state with the girls basketball team, and making a class float for homecoming. Even though I did not do very much my freshman year I still really enjoyed it.…
My freshman year flew by with ease. I made many friends and did well in class. We only had our final exams left before summer would begin. It was warm outside, and everyone was in good spirits.…
Coming into high school for the first time was a huge transition. When in middle school, the eighth graders were the top of the school. We were the ones that all of the younger students looked up to. We got the most playing times in the sports that we played. The teachers expected us to know all of the rules and such at the school.…
Personal Health Narrative I honestly was so excited for it to be my eighth grade year. The Savannah trip, semi-formal, and moving on to high school in just one year. Eighth grade is that awkward time where boys are a big deal and girls are still trying to learn how to do their makeup correctly. I knew that this year was a big deal to me. I wanted nothing at all to get in my way.…
When I was eleven years old, my volleyball journey began. I sat in the gym with my bubble- kneepads and old tennis shoes. Lacking in the fashion area, I sat in the gym with my shoes and kneepads. As my years of volleyball went on, it was time for me to hang up my nasty bubble-kneepads and tennis shoes and buy big-girl kneepads and volleyball shoes. As my love for volleyball grew throughout the years, it taught me strengths, weaknesses, and talents I never knew I had.…
