Personal Narrative: My First Year Of Middle School

Decent Essays
My first year of middle school was very interesting! I did a lot of different things and made lots of friends. Some good things that came out of this year was that I was one of the 5 starters on the A team in basketball and volleyball. I also got closer to some of the 8th grade girls, which was pretty sweet since I do not have that many friends that are girls. Another really great thing that came out of the year was that I was able to keep my grades up and have most of my work in on time. This year had many good things but there were somethings that were bad. For one my class was not that good and the teachers were thinking about not letting us go on our 7th grade field trip. My class has not been on a field trip for about 2 years in a row.

Some years are better than others, but the overall best year that I’ve experienced is or was, 8th grade. The fun field trips to places, High School acceptance, and it’s the last year of middle school.…

Graduation speech Juan C “Nothing is over until the moment you stop trying.”- Bryan Dyson Being Comfortable has been a real struggle for me these past years i’ve been here in holmes.6th grade for a 5th grader is scary, not knowing what is coming for you. 7th grade becomes easier because you already have an idea of how junior high is. 8th is all about reflecting over 6th and 7th grade. But it’s not always about problems, stress and sadness, there's also good times, like when we went to camp duncan in 6th grade, when I performed in the V-Show in 7th grade,…

In the seventh grade, I faced a large transition in life. The previous year I had experienced middle school for the first time, but I would make that entrance again. I moved from Texas to North Dakota, where seventh grade was the first year of middle school. I took on those same fears and hopes that I had faced before, but in an unfamiliar place where I had no one except for family to give me support. I tried a lot of new things that year, mainly wrestling.…

My first day of middle school was hell, I have always been good at school. My grades have never been bad and neither have my actions and or attendance. Probably from having a mom that is also a teacher. I look at that as a good thing though, watching kids just goof off and not come to school then high school rolled around and it was like I got to look down on them because they did not prepare for bigger and better things. School wasn't bad for me because it was hard, it was bad because i was always shy in school.…

This year as a freshman at Sublette High School, has been very enjoyable. I enjoyed being around all my friends and getting to know new people. From trying new things, such as being in KAYS, FCA, and being the girls basketball manager, I learned that I liked doing things like that. Some of my favorite memories are painting pumpkins in KAYS, almost making it to state with the girls basketball team, and making a class float for homecoming. Even though I did not do very much my freshman year I still really enjoyed it.…
