Playing dek hockey since I was six years old was a journey. My driveway is where it all started. “Bang!” The shot came at me. I stuck up my glove and made the split save, and then crashed down on the rough concrete. All of my friends yelled “ohhhhh!” I got up from the split and said “big save,” in a cocky way of course. All of the times I spent watching Marc Andre Fleury make huge saves, had all led up to this point. I was so delighted.

Seven Years later, after this occurrence. Suddenly, flash! A small, black, round object came at me. Bam! I got in front of it and into my glove it went. I felt the sweaty, wet, white, leather glove come back on my hand. I caught it! What did I catch you may ask? The puck. My teammates screamed “ yaaaaaa!”

My face is soaking. My Jersey all wet. But in my mind I knew. I knew I could get this shutout. 38 shots later, I still didn’t let in a goal. 10 seconds left, one last break-a-way and I could have this shutout. He faked to one side and then went to the other side, he faked me out pretty good, but I stuck my stick up in the air, and made the save “Yaaaaaaahhhhh,” my teammates screeched. Now, only five seconds left in the game, my team won the faceoff and cleared it down to win the game! I was tackled by my teammates and I was so overjoyed. I could smell the stench of sweat. It smelled like someone just dropped a bucket of sweat on me, but I didn't care one
