Personal Narrative: My First Year In Forensics

Decent Essays

In forensics, I competed in the prose category with Malala Yousafzia’s United Nations address. Her incredibly powerful speech proved difficult for me to master. I learned a lot about using facial expression to convey emotion because you need to sound professional, but still make the emotion of your piece come through. Without my 4-H experience, I wouldn’t have been even remotely able to take on Malala’s speech.

On the topic of 4-H speaking experience, I participated in the 4-h speaking contest for the 6th time. This year, Fond du Lac county

As I mentioned in the previous assignment, I want to increase my baseline 500 steps each week so that by the end of the semester I am recording 10,000 steps which is in the active range. I will continue walking around the property at work and stepping in place whenever I possibly can. I will stick to walking to the mailbox which is two blocks from home as opposed to driving up to it on my way home. If I have days where I am tired I will just give myself another pep talk. I have a pretty good support system thus far so I will lean on them if pushing myself on my own does not cut it.…
