Personal Narrative: My First Week At Borchers Elementary

The first week at Borchers Elementary was not stressful as I thought. As I enter to Mrs. Perez class, I introduced myself to the class. I am now known as Mss. Alvarez, the second teacher assistant for Mrs. Perez. Mrs. Perez, my second grade teacher mentor, explained that her class is special because of her gifted talented students or also known as GT students. Out of her twenty students, she said more than half are GT, and so when her students turned in a project she was expecting more from some. Furthermore, her class is separated into groups of four or five and each group has its own leader. The leader is in charge of getting the materials for their group, rather than having every student walking around the classroom. On Thursday, I observed
