My first trip to Haiti was the summer after my seventh grade year. Since then, I have returned annually only to grow more fond of the people there. Through travel, I have learned about myself and the world I live in and to treat any hardship as an opportunity to learn and grow, I have obtained a respect for different cultures and ways of life, and I have discovered my passion for working with and teaching others.
