Personal Narrative: My First Soccer Team

When I was a young boy, my dad bought me a soccer jersey, from there I began asking him about that particular team. These questions included: “Are they good?” “Where do they play?” “Who’s the best player?”. Since that day, I would watch them compete on TV and it inspired me to attempt to play the myself. By the age of 13, I joined my first soccer team, although I had difficulties with some of the drills, my teammates would motivate me to continue. Eventually, I improved with them and I even scored my first goal, which left me with the most unbelievable feeling. Since I began playing soccer, I never really thought of the consequences, such as being severely injured. I was 16, a sophomore, on the JV soccer team at South San Francisco High
