First Semester Self Assessment Undoubtedly, there were a few difficulties along the way. For instance, in-class essays and projects. The only weakness I struggle with is in-class essays because writing does not come naturally to me. Everything else we do in class is moderately easy for me. Luckily, I handled everything pretty well because I realized the more we do something, the less hard it gets. During the struggle, I learned that it is not going to be so bad because I know that it’ll somehow benefit me in the future. I have this positive attitude towards all of this because English is my favorite subject. I enjoyed everything we did so far because it helped me improve a ton on my English skills by the end of the course, but I am still struggling with writing creatively.

I am very satisfied with the results of being so dedicated during this semester because I got a 94%, which is an A. Like I said before, my goal was to get an A at the beginning of the year. A 94% would be a grade I would give to myself as well. I did not take my work SUPER seriously, but I did put in a decent amount of effort. It is not my best, but I will do a bit better for the second quarter without a doubt.
Looking back at the first semester, I found a lot of the material we learned to be useful and worthwhile. There’s not anything that I would add changes to. I would like to see us review more about grammar like we did at the beginning of the year because it would be helpful. I appreciate how you make us do the warm-ups so we can get better at learning how to correct our writing. It is also wonderful how we often read in class since I do not read a lot at home. Overall, you are doing an excellent job of teaching us! Keep up the good work, Mr.
