Personal Narrative: My First Rotation

My clinical group had our first rotation today on 4 North at the VA. It was a very positive experience, and I look forward to more clinical days on this floor. The nurses were great and my patient was very talkative. This was my first time talking to a veteran about his service, and it was very interesting.
If I could repeat today, I would change the speed of my patient care. I was nervous, because this was our first time at the VA passing meds and doing procedures. This situation made me feel a little intimidated, mostly because this was a new place. I had my medications written down and what they were each for.
