From what I could tell my life was picture perfect, but when I was 10 my parents decided to move us half across the country to New Mexico. My life quickly changed from being homeschooled, to being enrolled in public school for the first time, however a year later I was pulled out. In 2008 I found myself in a new church, looking to fit in, and living life for myself. While I was in the youth group at this church it was considered my refuge. In 2009 I turned 12,I rededicated my life to Christ and got baptized, and by the age of 13 I went on my first mission trip to Denver, Colorado. By the time I was 15 things in my life started

MOVING FROM STATE TO STATE TO STATE (only 3 times but 4 different houses) (this is also partially my life story) I was born in Salt Lake City, UT. We then lived in a duplex, and my dad was a youth pastor at Mountain Side Baptist Church in Sandy. Then I think when I was a little over 1 year old, my dad became the pastor of our church, so we got to live in a parsonage for free as part of my dad’s salary.…

Growing up, I was not a child who wanted to go out to play and get messy. Instead, I would much rather stay home reading, drawing, or watching movies. The older I got, the more and more I refused to go out which really bugged my parents. One day, my aunt asked me if I wanted to go on a little trip to San Diego during the summer and I thought “why not?”. I hadn't been outside of the house for a while, so the 2 hour car ride was a breath of fresh air.…

This past summer, summer 2016, I had the chance to go on my first mission trip. I am a firm believer of Christ, I just never had the motive to go into the missionary field until this year. When the second week of summer came around on Saturday, July 11, I jumped on a charter bus leaving out of First Baptist Church with their youth and choir groups in the small town of Blairsville, Georgia and rode all the way to Arlington, Texas with a few gas stops on the way. Prior to leaving, each of us were given a binder filled with guts of lessons that were broken down into days one through four, and we had about two weeks of training: spanish training, how to work with the kids, what our objective was with the kids, etc. We also split into three different…

This was my life; an insecure student who had almost no friends, and even if he did, they weren’t really the best friends. They were more like acquaintances than friends. My life was not what I wanted it to be. Throughout all of middle school, my life was an empty void with almost no meaning until I decided to fully lean on God and his everyday truths. Near the end of my eighth-grade year, something clicked.…
