I started running as my player hit the box, I took off my cheats hit the ground they slammed pulling up the rubber beads as I ran. I set up against the player coming down I put my pole in front of me and poke the opposing player. It was a warm cool summer day with a nice windy breeze, I was in maryland for a lacrosse tournament. I was playing for my travel team Koopers and were playing against one of our rivales Crabs lacrosse we were both one of the best teams in maryland and top 10 in the world. I planted my right foot into the ground and rolled around the first man. Then coming to the second man I planted my right foot into the ground then as I planted my left one I took my right hand off my stick, I threw it around my left side of my body and around my back as I left the player in disbelief and dazed. Then I took off I could feel their sticks hitting my arm like hail hitting the earth in a hail storm feeling like stubbing your toe on the edge of a table. I could feel my legs working like gears in a factory them burning like they were on fire. As I passed my opponents I knew my job wasn’t over I knew that this play was gonna be big I had to push myself.
As I approached our offense I he man out front came at me and started the fast break i saw my teammate behind him then I launched the ball over his head it felt like it just floated in the air it felt as if all time stopped at that moment as the ball floated down to my teammate he was in the right position he caught it, stepped in and then released it into the air as it came closer and closer to the goal and swish he had made it he scored the game winning goal! Our whole team ran at him and cheered him along. But then i realized they weren't cheering him but they were cheering “CoYo! CoYo!”.
At that moment I knew that was my best play as a lacrosse play of my career so

My Calf Scramble Project My calf scramble journey started well before I actually filled out the paperwork to participate, see my two older brothers both scrambled before me! So naturally I was destined to follow in their footsteps and that I did. My two older brothers are now in college and the heifers that they purchased through the calf scramble program have helped them to establish a nice source of income while they are in college, plus I get to reap the benefits of the quality cattle that they purchased because those mommas are raising some show quality babies that I am getting the opportunity to show. Leading up to my scramble night in Houston my brothers offered advice on securing my catch, thankfully track practice had started in school…

I would definitely consider the job that I had during my internship as a future career. Lacrosse is something that I am very passionate about, and I want it to be part of my life even after I stop playing. I am also really interested in business administration and sports management. Growing up in a small town, where success in the girl’s softball program was excellent, it was every little girl's dream to be a part of that program. When I was a little girl I remember sitting in the stands watching the varsity softball team play thinking about the day when I would get the opportunity to be a part of the program. As I grew older I would think to myself, if I had the chance to play for the program would I excel like all the other girls have done in the past years? Also, I dreamt, as any little girl would, of how breathtaking it would be to be the person who won the game for a state championship title.…

Subsequently, the girl running next to me, went up for the ball just like I did and the ball hit my head but she pushed right into my side and I came crashing down. While I was falling, the girl was falling too and her elbow came crashing into my head.…

Dimitri Letsos Narrative Essay (Personal) It was a hot Sunday near the end of May of 2011, my brother and I were playing catch outside when my friend came over to hang out. We discussed what we should play, I thought that we should play a game called 500, which was where you threw the ball up in the air and if you caught it you would get a certain amount of points, until you reached 500. My brother was a more creative and thought of a game he called “Bigfoot” which I guess was a game where you chased the person who was “Bigfoot” and if you caught him you would become Bigfoot. I thought it was stupid so I said, “I think 500 is better, and someone’s going to get hurt.” My brother replied with, “Don’t be such a baby.”…

Watching the ball leave my teammate’s stick, fly through the air, and land in my stick was only the beginning of my love for lacrosse. Now, every time I shoot the ball and it strikes the back of the net, I remember the first time I played lacrosse and I am extremely grateful for it. I knew from the moment I picked up a stick, that I had a future and I would need to work extremely hard to become the best player I could be. Although I was not able to catch or throw my first time practicing, I kept pushing myself and evolved into the strong player I am today. After a surprising moment during my sophomore year of high school, my love for lacrosse was never the same and the respect I have for the sport and other players has grown immensely.…
