Without even eating breakfast we were out the door, and on our way to Levi’s stadium in Santa Clara.
The car ride there was no easier than the sleepless night before, but I survived. Once were finally arrived, and scanned our tickets we made our way up the escalators. Onto the deck area where the food court, stores, and museum were. There was so many people there that it would have normally been to overwhelming, but I was fine. Probably because most of the people were there to support my favorite team. Everybody was wearing their team appeal, some even had their faces painted red and gold with big crazy wigs. They were all excited about the game, which made me even more excited then I already was. Once I settled down, and had time to take it all in I realized I was starving. So, I made my way through the mass of people to a hot dog stand to buy myself an overpriced Frank dog. After, I had my frank dog I decided to go find my seat, and I headed towards my section through the sea of people. Finally, I reached the top of the stairway of section 102, and started heading down to row 16. I didn’t pay too much attention to it, because I assumed they just wanted to enjoy what had the potential to be a good game on a nice day in the bay area. But, after the 1st quarter, and San Diego was down by a touchdown it became very apparent that they had no intentions of just watching the game. They were there to ruin everyone’s day. The three men were calling the players racist, and homophobic names that should never be said under any circumstance. Especially, not when there are children and young kids around. The more people tired to nicely tell them to watch their language the louder they got, and it only got worse after the second half. By the 3rd quarter people finally had enough, and one of the couples that sitting not to far from us were went to find security. Five minutes later they returned with two security guards, and they asked them to keep everything family friendly or else they would have to leave. They didn’t like that, saying that they paid for their tickets, and could say whatever they wanted. One of them even chugged their beer in the security guards face, which turned into big mess that took most of the 4th quarter to sort out. Keeping everyone in that whole section from enjoying the game that turned out to be a great game for those who were actually able to
