Personal Narrative: My First Dog

Dogs are called many things companions, friends, a man's best friend, but to me a dog is all those things and some people my dog is family not like a mom or a dad figure more like a sibling sometimes annoying sometimes bothersome, and sometimes nice. My dog is all those things at times I would rather not have a dog because of the work that it brings, but at times I can’t imagine my life without one. I was five I got my first dog after that I got another dog. I didn't really connect so much with my first dog because it was more my sisters but when I got Bo things changed I had so much fun with him. Bo was a good dog, I know a bunch of people say that about any dog but he was a good dog. You can really tell how dogs connect with each other because even when they …show more content…
Our backyard was fenced in so you know you don't expect them to get out. One night when I was at my dad's house Bo had jumped over the fence and got out. I was so scared to a point where I was in tears I thought I had lost one of the one things in my life that I cared about. Luckily we found him safe and sound, but this isn't the only time that has happened. Now my dad lives in Georgia, and that's where Bo was. So at this point I was up in Virginia in school unaware of the news I was about to be given. My dad came up to visit when my dad came to pick me up we went to lunch. After lunch we were on our way to the hotel. He said “I have something to tell you” “ok” I said he said “Bo was hit” my first initial thought was what do you mean I was hoping by like a ball or maybe a shovel or something not so life threating. When I asked him, he said “no by a car” my heart sunk in my chest, tears flooded out of my eyes. I didn't know what to think I was so hurt, and so upset. When I asked if he was ok he said “no when we went to take him to the vet the nearest one wasn’t opened so we drove to the next one, but it was too late.” He was gone soon I had accepted
