Personal Narrative-My First Day Of High School

Improved Essays
My First Day of High School My first day of high school was known as Freshman Day, where only freshman go to school and learn about the building and their new teachers. It was a time full of surprises. The day before Freshman Day, I was walking up the stairs and got distracted while climbing up. I wasn’t paying attention and scraped all of the skin off of the bottom of my big toe when I made the mistake of putting only my toe on the metal landing rim rather than my whole foot. Anyways, I went to Freshman Day with my toe rapped up two inches thick and a heck of a limp. Luckily, my dad is the new assistant principal at my new high school. I was able to stick with him through the day so I wouldn’t have to hurry to keep up with the other kids

"Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty and persistence" I have had many ups and downs over the course of my life thus far. One specific example of this took place during my freshman year of high school. When I started high school it was very challenging for me, partially due to the fact that; during this time, I was lazy, unmotivated and did not really take school seriously. This by far is one of my biggest regrets to this day. Who would ever think that not trying during my freshman year would continue to follow me throughout the course of my academic career.…

My first week of high school was pretty good. I like all of my teachers, and my classes are in a good order. It was difficult waking up early on the first day because prior to then, the earliest I had woken up during the summer was 8:00. I got lost going to FACS on the first day, and then again on the second day. I found my regular classes easily enough, and I haven’t gotten any tardies.…

This personal narrative is going to be about the first day of Middle School and my experiences as a 6th grader. It is going to go after my emotions and other descriptive details of the first day. I still remember how the seat belt felt tightening across my chest as the car got closer to the Middle School. During that time I knew nothing about being in a big school because the biggest school i've been in was yankee ridge. (Which is really small).…

In high school my most outstanding example of a time when I set an example as a student leader was my sophomore year in high school. My sophomore year of high school I was brought up to the varsity soccer team, the team that I was on was not extremely hard working and or dedicated. As a sophomore I was afraid to stand up and verbally tell the entire team that we need to step it up, or we are going to have a horrible season, so I decided to make my statement apparent by my actions. First, I started by always being the first one to every practice, putting pressure on my other teammates to do the same, in result everyone started to arrive to practice earlier. The second step I took was difficult since I was one of the youngest players and the…

It was the first day of school at Brooklyn High school and at some ungodly hour, my cold-blooded step brother,Alex, came pounding on my closet door, saying,”Gracie, wake up, it’s time for school!” My real name is Grayson Swift, but he likes to call me Gracie, especially in front of other people. As I got out of bed, I realized I had no nice clothes to wear. All I had was a couple pairs of old jeans, hand-me-down tees, an ugly sweater, and the clothes I had from my Mom and Dad. Those were a black long-sleeve T-shirt, of the Miami Heats ,of course, white nike shorts, and nike socks.…

As I went to my first day of school in a new city I was nervous, I didn't know if I was going to make any new friends, if I was going to fit in. The first day began and I immediately met Randy and Byanca, little did I know at the time that they would be my friends for all of my school career. Time went by and so did the grade levels, I would always struggle with one subject and thrive in another. During my elementary and middle school years I would struggle in language arts and history, but I would thrive in mathematics mainly because I love numbers.…

Failure is an event no one wants to go through, but everyone has to go through to grow and prosper as an individual. My freshmen and sophomore year of high school is a time I experience failure. As I transitioned into high school from middle school, I had a difficult time adapting to the environment and work load I had encountered. My parents did not attend school in the United States, therefore, I did not have the support needed to transition into a different environment. Many times, I would feel very discouraged because I would not be doing well in class.…

My first day of middle school was hell, I have always been good at school. My grades have never been bad and neither have my actions and or attendance. Probably from having a mom that is also a teacher. I look at that as a good thing though, watching kids just goof off and not come to school then high school rolled around and it was like I got to look down on them because they did not prepare for bigger and better things. School wasn't bad for me because it was hard, it was bad because i was always shy in school.…

My last first day in middle school wasn't something anyone would want to experience. Everyone hopes and wishes that they get classes with their bestfriends. As for me I did hope and wish I would be able to have my bestfriend by my side in one of my classes, but I was told that I was enrolled in a program called iLead. The program was based off kids who didn't do so well their seventh grade year attitude and academically wise. I was in there because of how poor my attendance was throughout my first year of middle school and how that effected my grades.…
