November 4, 2011, was my first day at Brekingview High. It can also be known as the day everything changed for me. I like to think I'm generally a nice person, well until I get these sudden outbursts of rage. i'm not too excited about being shipped off to this new school considering everything at my other school was going great. If you're currently wondering why I'm just randomly being shipped to another school with everything going great, well it would be because my parents couldn't ever get along, resulting in them getting a divorce and I having my whole life flipped upside down. When you move schools normally the counselor or the principal gives you a person that shows you around everywhere, basically just to show you the ropes. Greene was …show more content…
As we walked through the hallways, he walked in front of me, looking over his shoulder every thirty seconds or so to make sure I was still following. Our first period was Bible, which wasn't that bad. I only got nervous once and that was when the teacher asked me to stand in front of the class and tell a little about myself. The second person i met was penelope, an extreme tomboy who was very loud at times and enjoyed pretending like she was a werewolf. She was a very peculiar individual considering the first thing that was said to me was “you're the new girl right? I'm penelope… i'm a werewolf.” The funny thing is at that point in time i told myself i wasn't ever going to be friends with her but little did i know she would become my best friend. After penelope introduced herself to me and told me her species i kindly just said “well i'm cambree and it was nice meeting you” then greene and i walked away. At the end of the day greene walked me out to where my mom would be picking me up, made sure i had everything, and then went back into the

Looking back on it, on how I got to where I am. I don't know how i did it, when you run into something ,with the power to knock you down- you get back up! I've considered myself a sort of mellow guy, but I can be very intense. It's funny because you can't tell by looking at me. Most people say they can't read me, but I think i am a fairly simple guy.…

The hardest thing I’ve ever went through? Let me take you back to almost three years ago to a very cold Thursday morning in January. I was sitting in history class when suddenly something very strange happened; the announcement speakers came on. To most people it would seem like it was a very typical day to day event to listen to announcements; but at my school announcements were rarely ever said. My classroom got completely silent; to the point where you could have heard a pin drop.…

My years in high school were quite thrilling and adventurous. Starting as a freshman, I had no idea where I was going and what was going to be expected of me. Over the years I became involved with extracurricular activities which led to my primary interest I had developed in technology and the sciences. As a freshman I joined the Students with Future Interests in Technology Club, Spanish Club, and Robotics Club. These clubs stayed with me till I graduated high school and I have loved them ever since I got involved in them.…

My time at Barnegat High School has helped me to become who I am today and will most defiantly impact what I will do in the future. The teachers and my peers have all been an influence on my life and during the four years that I spent at the school, I have done some things for the school and the community as a way to thank them for giving me the opportunities that they have. It was they who pushed me to keep trying and striding to succeed and without them, I would not have accomplished what I have today. One of the things that I am most proud of doing is helping to bring new clubs and activities to Barnegat High School. This year, with the help of other students and advisors, a new club made it into the ranks of the diverse sea of clubs and groups that already exist.…

Before attending Wilmington Early College High School (WECHS), I was not satisfied with my personality, nor was I happy with the way I was perceived by other people. Most would think that I should have been confident because in middle school I was in the AIG program. However, I never truly felt satisfied with myself. I always got good grades, but I never felt like I earned good grades. Although I was making straight As and Bs, it was always relatively easy to earn those marks in middle school.…

The semester before my freshman year I applied to an early college high school; I knew that I was going to have more work than if I had went to the traditional high school, but I knew I could do it. At first I was doing well, but as time went on the work became more challenging and frequent eventually my grades fell and took my pride with it. I wanted to transfer to the traditional high school in my neighborhood, but changed my mind after a talk with one of my professors. She helped me to recognize that if I quit not only would I be throwing away the work that I did do, but I’d also be preventing myself from seeing what work I could do. I took that seed of information and turned it into a tree of motivation.…

Many years ago, when I was in 6th grade in Westridge Middle School. I was at an all girls school and our teacher made all the girls in the class sit next to one of our dear friends, but it was very uninteresting when you had to sit next to someone you don’t like. I disliked sitting next to Samantha. I don’t like her, she would always argue with me.…

As I looked around at my new classmates on my first day of public school, I was in complete shock. All around me I saw students who did not care in the slightest about their education and who saw school as simply a chore instead of an adventure. They slumped down in their chairs, cheated off of each other left and right, rolled their eyes at teachers, and spent each day watching the clock, waiting for the bell to ring that would released from their “prison.” That August morning, I felt like I was in a completely different world: one where I did not belong.…

Track and field has been the highlight of my high school life. The social aspect, the large assortment of events from which to choose, and the people I met are things I will always treasure. I especially loved the fact that there was always a place for everyone. If you weren’t too quick, then discus was your event. If you could build up quick bursts of speed, long and triple jumps suited you.…

It was the first day of school at Brooklyn High school and at some ungodly hour, my cold-blooded step brother,Alex, came pounding on my closet door, saying,”Gracie, wake up, it’s time for school!” My real name is Grayson Swift, but he likes to call me Gracie, especially in front of other people. As I got out of bed, I realized I had no nice clothes to wear. All I had was a couple pairs of old jeans, hand-me-down tees, an ugly sweater, and the clothes I had from my Mom and Dad. Those were a black long-sleeve T-shirt, of the Miami Heats ,of course, white nike shorts, and nike socks.…

As I went to my first day of school in a new city I was nervous, I didn't know if I was going to make any new friends, if I was going to fit in. The first day began and I immediately met Randy and Byanca, little did I know at the time that they would be my friends for all of my school career. Time went by and so did the grade levels, I would always struggle with one subject and thrive in another. During my elementary and middle school years I would struggle in language arts and history, but I would thrive in mathematics mainly because I love numbers.…

The teacher made me introduce myself and told me to sit down. I felt like I was a deer being stared down by a bunch of hungry beasts. The other students already had cliques established, and no one seemed to jump out of the social construct to say hi. The class proceeded as a normal class would, with lecture followed by questions. The bell rang for lunch time, the students ushered out, and into the cafeteria like wild animals.…
