Decent Essays
On October 5th, 2003 I went to my every first college game in Iowa City. It was to my favorite team of all time, Iowa Hawkeyes. The game was located at the Kinnick Stadium.
I went with my aunt Kara, uncle Max, my dad and sister. We left early in the morning because it was a 2 and a half hour car drive plus with all the traffic. We got to the stadium at 8 o’clock and tailgated for three hours. I thought it was longer than 3 hours because I was very board. I watched my dad and Max play “Bags”, threw the football around, ate some food, and hung out.
Aunt Kara,Uncle Max, my dad, Bryce and I all walked into the stadium and took our seats at the North West Corner, close to the end zone. Any time Iowa scored a touchdown are section had to yell, and make the shape with there hands, the letter O. It was a rainy day and my sister and I where wearing are matching, waterproof, rain jackets.

One the way home I fell asleep because in the car from all the walking, standing, and cheering. I will always remember my first college game and hope to go to many

I had slept in a little past what we had planned on leaving by but it didn’t matter too much we still had plenty of time to do what we wanted to.…

The student section looked pretty congested and I didn 't see the need to sit by a random person and make the entire row get up, so I sat a couple rows up from the student section in front of 3 amazing, loyal fans- Wanda, Beulah, and Larry- they have had their season tickets since Candace Parker came to Knoxville. They witnessed and were apart of some amazing years on Rocky Top- 2 National Championship seasons, crowds of 15-18,000 people, and got to watch the legend Pat Summitt coach. We 've developed a relationship outside of basketball games, Beulah will call me to ask me how my day was or to tell me the weather report, because she knows I don 't watch the news.
