My passion for basketball started when I was a little kid, as my dad inspired me to be great.Every day when I would watch him play, I would wish I could be as good as him.Watching him play every sunday night as him and his friends shot around and laughed. As the years flew by, he continued to inspire me and I couldn't imagine basketball without him.

When I was at the age of 5 years old, I joined my first basketball team. With a mixture of my best friends and classmates we put together a team and I wasn't sure If I wanted to play. At the beginning of summer i joined a team called Michigan Thunder. The coach was kind of unorganized but my teammates were spectacular. I enjoyed playing against older kids and my athletic ability became better. One of the memories I had from that team was jamming my thumb really atrociously in a tournament in Mount Pleasant. The pain was immense as the gripped ball whipped into my right thumb. It helped me improve. Also during summer I played in 3 gus Mackers with my friends. We came really close to winning one but ended up losing them. I had a ton of fun doing them though. Another league I have done is courthouse. I'm playing on my 3rd courthouse team. Currently I am on a team with a bunch of other Kenowa kids. It is fun playing with them. The most memorable moment of the summer was getting injured. I was almost to the ball and I stuck my leg in front of it to stop it from rolling. One second I'm sprinting down the road and the next I'm lying on the road, covered In cuts. The dark rock gravel was cutting into my skin. I could feel the gravel sticking to me and I jumped up to stop rolling. I had tripped over the ball. I had scraped on my elbow, knees, and chest. The scrapes on my knee and elbow will probably be scars for a long time. The dark red blood oozed from the cut in my knee as I rushed inside. I almost had to get stitches. I was bandaged up for the next week , waiting for it to
