Personal Narrative-My First Basketball Player

In the 7th grade I played basketball and I as the point guard. The point guard brings down the ball to start off the play. I loved playing basketball it was the thing I looked forward to doing after school everyday. I always loved playing in basketball games it was exhilarating. A cold, dark Saturday night we were going to go play our 6th basketball game of the season. My team and I were heading to Spencer in a big yellow bus. While we were on the bus you could feel the exhilaration of everyone in the air. You could tell that we were all pumped to play against Spencer. When we got to Spencer high school the lights were glistening of the bright white snow. I recollect walking off the bus and feeling instantly cold. We headed into the gym it …show more content…
The referee blows the whistle and my team got the ball first. In the middle of the 1st quarter I was tripped by another player, I fell onto the floor. While I was on the ground my fingers got stepped on, I was taken out of the game and I had to have my fingers wrapped together so they wouldn't swell up. Minutes later I was put back in the game, I was thrilled. When we got to the 3rd quarter everyone was exhausted. We had the ball I was taking the ball down the court saying the play to my teammates. I threw the ball to the right shoulder of the court. I could feel my heart racing. Breathing heavily I started running to the left of the court. I felt someone step on the top of my foot while I was pivoting the opposite way. My foot was strait while my whole body turned the opposite way. In that moment, everything was in slow motion, I was in excruciating pain. My ankle was on fire while my foot was throbbing. I instantly fell on the cold floor holding my throbbing ankle. My eyes were closed, I could hear mumbling from the coaches. When I opened my eyes I could see the light on the ceiling they were intensely bright and very blinding. The coaches and my teammates were circled around me. I heard loud footsteps coming towards me, I looked to my right and it was my dad. He picked me up and carried me to the bench. The coaches put a freezing bag of ice on my ankle. My ankle was swollen and still throbbing. But
