Scary Christmas Narrative

It was my favorite time of the year. October which means scary costumes, candy, spooky movies, and the best part is I get to go to my grandparents cabin in the woods. I get to go with my 6 friends Jacob, Soucy, Lucy, Carmen, Ryan, and Sharlissa. We get to stay there the whole day of Halloween. Last year was amazing we stayed up all night eating candy and watching movies in the dark with only candles lit. This year is going to be way better we are going to dress up as the living dead and scare little kids. “We have been in the car for hours, when will we be there?” “Calm down Soucy we will be there in ten minutes.” I still can’t believe it, every time I look out the window I see the big blue lake, it is like it’s talking to me, but I did notice …show more content…
Jason and Ryan decided to investigate. Being as quiet as they could they peaked their heads over the stairs. They couldn't believe what they saw! Right in front of them were the people in masks in the cabin. Still being quiet they turned around and went back down the stairs until Ryan accidentally stubbed his toe on the wall. The people in masks turned towards the stairs and saw Jason and Ryan. Jason and Ryan starts running down the stairs and Jason yelled, “guys run they know we are here, go through the back door.” They all got out the back door but noticed one of the of the masked people were outside the house still waiting for the other three people. “Ryan shut the door behind you.” “ Shhhh one of them is right in front of us.” With no ideas they were in trouble until Jason said, “Either we wait for them to leave or go through the woods.” At that point they all decided to go through the woods. As the seven friends moved swiftly through the woods, Soucy couldn't stop but to notice a piece of string attached on two …show more content…
Everyone finally got out of the woods, when Jason saw another cabin hoping someone was inside that could help them. Without waiting any longer everyone rushed towards the cabin with two more of the masked people following them. Knocking on the door many times, Soucy thought it would be a good idea to distract the people in masks. Still knocking on the door Soucy ran back into the woods. Once he left the door flung open. Standing before the six friends was a very tall, older man with a baseball bat in his hand. “What do you want you spoiled kids?” “Sir we need your help, people in masks with chainsaws are chasing us,” said Jacob. “They're just trying to scare you, go back home.” “Run,” said Soucy coming back. “Please sir we need your help.” “Fine, get inside,” said the old man. Everyone ran inside the cabin panting and sweating. “What should we do, they are right outside and we are completely unprotected,” said Lucy. “Well we could have him help us.” “Me,” said the old man. “Yes, we need help until the cops get here,” said Jason. While the old man thought about it the people in masks kept closer and closer. “Guys they are at the the door,” said Ryan. “Can you help us sir,” Jason said

“The hair was curiously stirred, as if by breath or hot air.” (Dickens 14) The ghosts in Charles Dickens novel A Christmas Carol were portrayed creatively and the director of one of the many film interpretations recreated the ghosts almost exactly like Dickens. I will analyze How the Grinch Stole Christmas through Marxist criticism, which is based on economic class, wealth, and social systems. This poem was written in third person by Dr. Seuss, and it describes the Who’s in Who-ville celebrating Christmas. In this poem, it was evident that Who-ville lived under communism because they all celebrate similarly, treated one another equally, and it was evident that in Who-ville no one was left out. “Then the Whos, young and old, would sit down to a feast.…

As I passed through downtown Atlanta, I couldn't help admire the home of the Braves, not just because it was an architectural wonder but because it brought back to mind that very first lesson when Professor Van Huevelen sparked my curiosity when he said we find that there are some things in this world that are repeatable. Repeatable. Repeatable. So a baseball pitcher, if he throws a ball with the same speed and in the same direction, spinning the ball the same, it'll end up going about the same place.…
