In my family, both my maternal Grandma and my father have diabetes. However, 10 years ago, since my Grandma had regularly checked for blood glucose level, my Grandma noticed the blood glucose level was higher than normal so my Grandma changed to diet. My Grandma has started eating more wholegrain foods, more vegetables and fruits, drinking lots of water and doing some gentle exercises to prevent diabetes getting worse. Until now, I think the diabetes had gone as my Grandma’s blood glucose level gets back to its normal range.
