My family is Belize in Central America. I still embrace my family’s culture as an adult. One thing that I still identify with is using certain teas for natural cleaning in the body. The one tea that my Mother swears by is Cerasse Tea. The origins of this tea are from Jamaica. It’s used to purify the blood. This would be helpful with people that suffer from having high sugar. When I was a little girl, the Cerasse Tea was given to my siblings and me at least once a month to “clean our system out” as my mother would say. I hated drinking this tea because it was so bitter. My Mother didn’t add any sugar and we were expected to drink it.
