Personal Narrative: My Failure Of A Soccer Team

I've played soccer pretty much my entire life. Starting at age 4, I played a couple years on a team meant to teach the fundamentals and then tried out for a select club. In that club, I met and played with 5 of my future high school teammates. For this team, being a pretty decent player, I frequently played the entire game. Known for having above-average skills and speed, I made the JV team my freshman year and moved on to Varsity as a junior. I was of proud my role on the team. Soccer was my favorite sport.

But about a year ago, I had a huge downfall. My failure didn't have to do with my ability to play soccer though. It was something much different.

It was the Fall of 2014, a Thursday, and McNicholas High School's soccer team would soon
